The European Commission has approved and published the Final Report resulting from this study and public consultation. The Final Report is available for download over the EC website.

Oeko-Institut e.V. and its subcontractors, on behalf of the European Commission, are publishing the responses from the DG Environment public consultation addressing potential measures to improve the implementation of certain aspects of the Directive on end-of-life vehicles, with emphasis on ELVs of unknown whereabouts.
Of the 137 contributions, 134 stakeholders responded within the deadline and 3 responses were delivered late. Of these:
- 10 responses cannot be published;
- 46 responses may be published anonymously;
- 81 responses may be published with personal information/ name of organization.
As well, we received 13 additional documents with other comments sent by email.
All publishable responses submitted through the online survey can be read on the webpage elv.whereabouts.oeko.info.

Stakeholders' workshop in Brussels to discuss the study’s preliminary results and to present results of the public consultation is scheduled for 21 November 2016.

The ELV Whereabouts consultation is closed.
The evaluation team shall shortly proceed with the evaluation of the survey results, which shall be made public at a later time.

The ELV whereabouts public consultation has been running for four weeks!
Contributions have already been made by stakeholders from 7 Member States.
Oeko-Institut e.V. and its subcontractors, on behalf of the European Commission, kindly invite you to participate actively in this consultation in order to allow us to carry out an evaluation on the basis of as much fact-based evidence as possible.
The public consultation closes on Wednesday 21 September 2016. If you would like to make a contribution (participation in survey) please submit it by 21 September 2016 at the latest. We kindly encourage you to consider contributing to this exercise.

The public consultation on potential measures to improve the implementation of certain aspects of the Directive on end-of-life vehicles, with emphasis on ELVs of unknown whereabouts has begun.
Due to minor changes in publishing responses and the transparency register, the official start of the survey has been changed to 29 June 2016. Since this public consultation runs for 12 weeks, we kindly ask for your participation by 21 September 2016.

A new study to assess the implementation of Directive 2000/53/EU on
end-of life vehicles (the ELV Directive) with emphasis on the end-of-life vehicles of unknown whereabouts has begun.
